My daughter Bethany knows that Christmas Eve is the anniversary of my baptism (20 years, to be exact), so she made a “Merry Christmas / Happy Birthday” power-point presentation for me, as a surprise. Screen shots below!

Slide #3: 1 Corinthians 9:25 — Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.

Slide #4: I always tell my kids that when they get to heaven they should be sure to turn around and wave at me sometimes because I’ll be sitting in the back row with a teeny tiny crown, and they’ll be in the front with big crowns.
