A lot of hurt would be healed if Catholic bloggers would stick to what the Church teaches on homosexuality before even considering writing about homosexuality on their blogs. This can be found on the Courage website, particularly in their FAQ’s. If you are spreading error, you are not helping people. You’re hurting them.

From the Courage home page, emphasis mine:

We have been endorsed by the Pontifical Council for the Family and our beloved John Paul II said of this ministry, “COURAGE is doing the work of God!” We also have an outreach called EnCourage which ministers to relatives, spouses, and friends of persons with same-sex attraction.

From our website you will learn about samesex attractions and chastity. By developing an interior life of chastity, which is the universal call to all Christians, one can move beyond the confines of the homosexual identity to a more complete one in Christ.

If you are living within the confines of homosexual identity, you are not living an interior life of chastity.  Chastity is not confined to exterior actions. Chastity is both interior and exterior.

That is why things like this and this — though seemingly in keeping with the Catholic Faith — include a lie big enough that people are led quite directly away from the chaste life. That the lie is offered to the misinformed under the guise of fidelity to the Catholic Faith is particularly dangerous.
